Death – Betzaida Suarez, Alexander Montanez, Yanely Martinez, and Yoniel Martineza

Authorities reported that a woman and her three children were discovered dead after a row home fire in North Philadelphia over the weekend died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The victim identified as Betzaida Suarez, Alexander Montanez, Yanely Martinez, and Yoniel Martinez by the Philadelphia Department of Health on Wednesday.

Crews responded to the house fire in the Kensinton neighborhood just before 8 a.m on Saturday and reported the home was fully engulfed in flames and smoke coming from the first and second floor.

According to Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel said about 60 firefighters, medical experts and support workers attended the scene. He further said the 35 year old woman and was discovered downstairs and the 18 year old, her children were discovered upstairs. They were all declared dead at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.
