It is with a heavy heart we say, we lost one of our own yesterday. Noelle Norton was a bright spirit in this world and had countless loved ones in her life. She truly never met a stranger. This vibrant nature helped when it came to caring for pets at SSPR. Noelle was a friend, employee, coworker, adopter, foster mom, & volunteer to us and our rescue group. Many of you bought hats and wreaths she brought in, which helped saved numerous pets. Noelle loved taking time to share stories and pictures with pet parents and coworkers. She loved doggie daycare the most & kept detailed lists about each of them. While working at SSPR, she fell in love with a Pitweiler named Emma. When Emma’s adoption didn’t work out, she jumped at the chance to adopt her. They were a perfect match! In June, Noelle rescued another pittie, Waylon. She was returning to the restaurant industry, excited about a new opportunity, but made time to bring him by for a visit and nail trim. She was so excited about his progress. We are in shock, heartbroken & struggling with the reality of her passing. Please keep her family, friends and furbabies in your thoughts. His funeral service will take place on Fri8th Oct at the Crematorium @ 11am.

I just learned that my beautiful friend, Noelle Norton, died from Covid today. She was a great friend. She was one of my bridesmaids. We just spoke on the phone a couple weeks ago and she told me about all that she was doing to train this pup she’d rescued. She was so proud of him and so patient. I’ll never forget her sweet interpretive dance moves to Madonna in the backseat of the car when we went dress shopping. She was so much fun and so beautiful inside and out.
I’m dumbfounded and numb learning that she died from this stupid virus. We are the same age and our birthdays are only weeks apart. I loved her and I will miss the sunshine that she brought into the world. (I don’t know who originally posted this photo, but it’s from my first wedding. She was so beautiful.) Please get vaccinated for all of the people who would miss you dearly.
