27-year-old Panayiotis Christoforou from Ypsonas has died due to a fatal crash involving two cars on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway on Thursday.
On 28 November, 2019. According to Head of Limassol traffic police Michalis Michael, Panayiotis Christoforou was heading towards Limassol before his car got struck violently from the back by another 50-year-old, Russian resident from Cyprus. Panayiotis car was said to had repeatedly hit the metal railings in the centre of the road before coming to a halt about 200 metres away.
Police said the 50 year-old russian resident had be driven dangerously on high influence of alcohol on the road before his car crashed into Christoforou car near the Moutayiaka exit on the way towards Limassol. The father of one, Panayiotis was instantly killed at the spot.
