Thank you for all you did for Seattle and for so many. Holding you in my heart. I sincerely hope your heart is finally able to soar and realize how many people have and always will love you Rahwa.

Rahwa Habte was a kind, sweet, caring, engaging soul. I was better for knowing her. My condolences go out to Baba Sandai, Mama Ethiopia, Tommy and the rest of the Ogbe family. May your next journey be a blessed one Rahwa!

Rip Rahwa Habte. We really lost an angel. One of my favorite people on earth. Always positive, always empathetic, always on point. A true rider for the people. My heart hurts. I will miss that beautiful soul. Fuck 2020. I can’t no more…

This weekend has been marked by great personal loss to those of us who knew and loved Rahwa Habte and Sarah Leyrer. Both from different walks of life. Both loved community, organized community and staunchly fought for what was right. Both gone too soon. Rest in Power.

Rahwa Habte was one of the most generous, honest, caring people I’ve met. The communities and institutions she built have made Seattle what it is today, and her legacy will last forever. I’ll miss running into her at the park, and her putting me in my place on the internet.

I’m gonna miss Rahwa. A lot. She was one of the kindest people I ever met with a real heart of gold. She supported my music in it’s very early stages and her legacy will live on forever. In loving memory of Rahwa Ogbe Keshi Habte

Rest in Power, @rahwita. Seattle lost a God. One of the most dynamic people I‘ve ever met. A brilliant organizer & a wonderful friend. Her legacy will be the impact she made & the many lives she changed. REST IN POWER, RAHWA
