Ralph Hudson was one of the fastest men to race on two wheels. His fastest pass was 304 mph (yes, 304 mph) in 2018. Ralph crashed at Bonneville Speed Week on August 14th at 252 mph. He succumbed to his injuries on September 6th. Ralph will be missed by many. Our hearts go out to his family. RIP.

Godspeed to my friend and fellow racer Ralph Hudson. Stacie B. London said it perfectly, he was the “Mr. Rodgers” of all things motorcycle racing. Not only was he a genius, but a kind and generous man. He lived to race and made our world so much better.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”

Veteran motorcycle racer Ralph Hudson has passed away following his 252 mph crash on the Bonneville Salt Flats on Aug. 14, the Southern California Timing Association announced Monday

We’ve lost another intrepid soul: 69-year-old, land speed record-holding motorcycle racer Ralph Hudson.#TheDrive #RalphHudson #LandSpeedRecord #298mph #motorcycle #RIP

Yesterday was a difficult day for me and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ralph Hudson. He left such an impression on anyone who was lucky enough to know him. The Philip Island Classic brought us together as he let me borrow his bike to race in Oz. His passion for going fast was so infectious and his stories were told without an ounce of ego. He went to Bolivia in 2018 & went 307mph at 68yrs young. His accomplishments & world record runs while impressive will never live up to the man he was. He was always there to make someone else’s life better. Going to miss my hour long phone conversions with Ralph but man am I lucky that I got to spend the time I did with him. My thoughts are with Leslie & Ralph’s family & friends.
