It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that The American English family announces the passing of our beloved Rick Stang. For over 20 years Rick was our road manager, guitar tech, driver, and close friend. He was the kindest person with the most friendly smile and gentle heart. A fine musician and talent himself, he was the very engine of the band and part of our spirit. His love for the music of The Beatles and rock n roll will stay with us forever. May he Rest In Peace.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Rest In Peace my closest friend, fellow world adventurer Rick Stang. Your spirit lives on. A famous musician, a guitar tech, a French Chef. A true gentleman. You who would never harm a fly, and would give a stranger the shirt off your back. You beat me to the finish old friend. I will see you on the other side. I will celebrate your memory in this life by attempting to adhere to your principles of kindness and empathy…You certainly had me beat in that regard.
I am sad to report that Rick Stang has passed away. Rick was the guy behind the scenes of the American English “All You Need is Love” Valentines Concerts…. He made sure setup was smooth, instruments tuned and in place, and a zillion other jobs that I or American English needed. More importantly, he was my friend. I am saddened by his passing but I will celebrate your life… always. You were such a good soul. Thanks for being my friend. Our world is just a little more emptier without our Rick Stang!!! Love Ya Brother… Rest In Peace.
I am so unbelievably saddened by the passing of my dear friend Rick Stang. One of the best souls I have ever met in my life. We traveled not only this country but also the world together. One of the kindest people and the hardest working person I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Best stage and guitar tech ever among many other things. May you Rest In Peace and finally have A nap. I love you so much brother and you will never be forgotten.
Some very sad news today, Rick Stang formerly of the Chicago band IRON CROSS has passed away, joining lead singer Jon Wiegand in heaven. Rick and I grew up in the same neighborhood in Chicago, As a matter of fact right across the alley! We jammed together, Partied together and recently Rick moved to Florida by me, So we were neighbors again! Rick was a good dude and a gentle soul. 30-year friendships can not be replaced! R.I.P. RICK.
