Ron Withem Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko.Ron Withem, a former state senator from Papillion and speaker of the Legislature from 1993 to 1996, was saluted Thursday by the University of Nebraska President Ted Carter upon word of his death.
Ron Withem was a true statesman and a loyal Nebraskan. I am fortunate to have worked with him at the University of Nebraska and am so sad to hear of his passing.
We learned today that Nebraska has lost one of its great public servants and a beloved friend and colleague to many.
