Who Was Sam Simkiss’ ?

Sam was born November 7, 2003 in Ypsilanti, the son of Jeffery Richard and Melissa Anne (Miller) Simkiss.

Sam was a member of the senior class at Clinton High School. He loved motocross, and being outdoors fishing and hunting. Sam enjoyed anything that had to do with trucks, from driving them to placing lift kits on them.

He loved working on the Vershum farm in the summer and during hay bailing season. Sam had such a wonderful love of life and had a kind soul and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Sam is survived by his parents, Jeff and Melissa Simkiss of Manchester; brother Nathan Simkiss of Manchester; maternal grandparents, Ted and Kay Miller of Manchester; paternal grandparents Richard (Linda) Simkiss of Napoleon and Celia (Pat) Treml of Ann Arbor; and aunt, Kris Miller of Northville.

Robbie was loved and cherished by many people. He was known to be very kind and will be deeply missed, however his impact and legacy will carry on for generations to come through his family and the numerous lives he has touched.

He had a caring heart, generous attitude and a fun-loving personality that laid the foundation for years of lifelong friendships. It didn’t matter what you needed, he would be there to help you celebrate, mourn, fix things, build something or to just listen and offer a shoulder to cry on or smile to laugh with.
