It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of former Judo Ontario President, Sensei Jim Walker. Jim was the Head Instructor of Maple Leaf Judo Club for over 30 years. In that time Jim produced 10 national level competitors garnering more than 30 National Championships medals and has developed over 30 black belts. He was passionate about coach education and was an NCCP Master Course Conductor. Additionally, he was a National A referee and was previously the Judo Canada VP for Ontario. Jim Walker was a kind and generous man who dedicated many hours to the development of the sport we love. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. RIP
