A recent circular of the Ministry of Finance, (Okaz has seen its content), revealed that the service of raising financial claims for contracts and authorizations through the “Etimad” platform will be suspended from government agencies, and this service will be available to contractors, suppliers and contractors with government agencies only, starting from mid-April.
The circular that was sent by the Federation of Chambers to the Chambers of Commerce, and referred to the letter of the Ministry of Finance, indicated that the service was launched for contracts and baptisms with the reference number registered on the platform, with the activation of the mechanism for its follow-up and escalation, and the submission of periodic performance reports in the event of delay in the completion of financial claims procedures.
The Ministry urged contractors, suppliers and contractors to raise financial claims related to their contracts on an Etimad platform on a regular basis to ensure payment according to the guideline.
