Timothy Satterlee Obituary – Death: 71-year-old Timothy Satterlee Sr., who was reported missing after he was last seen walking in floodwaters after Hurricane Ida on August 30, was found dead. Satterlee was found in the belly of a 504-pound alligator in the swamp near Slidell.
According to reports, Satterlee was attacked by an alligator on Aug. 30 near his home in Avery Estates, near Slidell.
Authorities captured the alligator two weeks later, believing that the alligator was responsible for the attack. Once euthanized, the contents of the alligator’s stomach revealed human remains.
Using advanced DNA technology, Preston staff were able to make an 11-point DNA match with Satterlee’s children.
This is so horrific. My heart goes out to his wife.
