It’s important to remember Tony Wright’s excellent radio work, but it’s also good to remember the huge amount he did for charity locally as well. In an industry full of egos with more than a few creeps, he was one of the genuinely good guys. May he rest in peace.

I am beyond gutted at the death of Tony Wright. An amazing presenter, a generous, wonderful and supportive friend. Tony shared some of his most personal feelings with me for a documentary in 2017. But for the last 13 years he made me bellyache with laughter. “Showbiz love”
