The idea of light implies darkness exists somewhere.
Darkness that light is meant to dispel.
The light of who you are is a beam that can stretch into eternity. Its alight whose greatest manifestation is an exemplary life. A life powered by integrity and discipline. The discipline of understanding ones role to play in the scheme of societal development and taking active steps to fulfill that role. That is greatness- in a sense that’s like putting our light atop a table so it gives its radiance to all in the room(globe).
Society today suffers from a deep malady. A malady that can be seen in the reckless way morality is abandoned in favour of vanity and insatiable bodily desires that lead to heartache and pain sometimes lasting a lifetime in regret.
One reason this malady has eaten deep into the fabric of society is because we lack exemplary leadership at all levels or units of the society – the individual family religious and political. However deep this malady may be, it can be corrected when those of us with a deep understanding of life live our lives in such a way that our leadership skills enhances society in one way or another.
Everyone of us is a truth unto himself and our creator. One with God is majority, the power within, when discovered can transform us into giants whose heritage traverse the aeon.
Many are called, few are chosen. Nobody chose anybody, the chosen chose themselves by their selfless leadership at building a better society from the wealth of their knowledge.
Every society has its challenges, every society has its evil genius(in culture ideology or people ) that corrodes its morality but every society also has its great minds, minds whose effort usher in a new era of thought attitude or way of doing things.
Once the light in you spreads her wings of integrity and exemplary lifestyle then the fragrance of your petals infuse all around you with a sense of duty in the giant construction work. The work of building a greater society.
We can inspire better ways of doing things…..if we care enough to try.
Nigeria can be a greater nation if we each Blossom our best.
