Authorities say a food delivery driver is was shot dead early Friday near his work place near a BP gas station in southwest Atlanta early Friday morning.
The incident happened at Oak Street near the intersection of Lee Street and right of Interstate 20 entrance ramp. at about 1 a.m. Friday. Investigators say the driver was picking up an order at the Oak Street Eats when he and unidentified man got into an altercation, leading to shots being fired. Officers responded and transported the 41-year-old driver to the Grady Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A white car, believed to possibly belong to the victim, was towed from the scene. No further information’s were immediately made available. Authorities are asking anyone with information to please contact the department.
