A 49-year-old black man has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection a deadly shooting in Greenville County that left a 4-year-old kid dead and a second kid in critical condition.
Officials say the incident happened No. 7th 2021, Jonathan Jeremy Groves was in possession of the handgun when he accidentally mishandled and discharged it, a bullet struck the two children and fatally striking one. Responding officials pronounced the 4-year-old dead and the second child remains in the hospital in critical condition.
It is not immediately known at this time the date for Groves arraignment.
