Aurora Police Department says a 15-year-old teen was arrested Monday in connection to a shooting at Nome Park near the Central High School in Colorado that left multiple people seriously wounded.
Officials with the APD responded at about 12:45 p.m. On the 15th of Nov. To Nome Park near Nome Street and 12th Avenue, according to APD. Officers were able to locate a black Chrysler 300 suspected to be involved in the incident. Police followed the vehicle and finally arrested the 15-year-old driver without incident. Investigators believed some unidentified persons from the Nome Park returned fire during the incident. APD is searching for the persons involved, another black Tahoe suspected to be involved in the shooting was located and captured last week.
Five of the victims – all teenagers- were transported to a nearby hospital and an 18-year-old later took him to a hospital. Police said one of the six was taken into emergency surgery. The unnamed teen is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder.
