Jay’Quawne Ward Death – Cause of Death – Jay’Quawne Ward, 31, of Springfield, was shot and killed inside a parked car on Albemarle Street. The shooting happened early Sunday, 21st of November 2021. According to the office of Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni, the police were called to Albemarle Street at around 12:40 a.m. for reports of gunfire.
Reports disclosed that when authorities got to the scene, they discovered Ward in a parked car suffering from a gunshot injury. He was administered first aid by Police and EMT’s at the scene but he died at the scene before he could be transported to the hospital.
The homicide is under investigation by the Springfield Police Homicide Unit, and the Hampden DA’s Murder Unit.
