Jabari Farafiai Asante-Chioke Death – Cause Of Death: 52-year-old Jabari Farafiai Asante-Chioke of Laplace was shot and killed by a Louisiana State Police and East Jefferson Levee District Police Department officers on Sunday 21st November 2021 on Airline Highway.
According to information, Police officers were controlling traffic when concerned persons notified the police and told them they saw a man walking with a gun near Causeway Boulevard, the officers checked the area and found him with a gun and a knife in his hands.
Officers tried to speak to him but he ran away, the officers chased him and finally got to him, Asante-Chioke allegedly point a gun at the officers threatening to shoot but they fired shots at him first and he was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers connected were hurt during the gunfire. All three are currently on paid administrative leave pending the investigation.
