Members of the platform for dialogue and cooperation between various religious leaders and institutions in the Arab world, affiliated to the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue among Followers of Religions and Cultures (Kaysid), arrived in Beirut to attend the first meeting of 2023.

The meeting lasted for two days, during which it included meetings with Lebanese religious leaders and workshops for the Administrative Committee on the platform's work strategy this year.

Allamah Ali Al-Amin received the members of the platform at his headquarters in Beirut, where he praised the pioneering role of "KACID" in promoting dialogue and launching qualitative projects under the umbrella of the dialogue platform, stressing that the center presented a "pioneering" model with its support of various religious leaders.

In the framework of their visits to the various religious leaders in Beirut, the members of the Dialogue Platform met with His Eminence, the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Dr. Abdel Latif Derian, who learned about the platform's work in the Arab region.

In turn, His Eminence praised the efforts of Kaysid, who established rules on which to build dialogue and reject extremism and hatred in the name of religion.

His Eminence, Sheikh Al-Aql, welcomed the Druze monotheists, Sheikh d. Sami Abi Al-Muna delegated the dialogue platform at his headquarters in Beirut, and praised the efforts of "Kaysid", which contribute to promoting convergence and breaking barriers.

On the second day, a delegation visited the Dialogue Platform, His Beatitude Patriarch Beshara Boutros Al-Rahi at his headquarters in Bkerki. After being briefed on the work of the platform, he expressed his support for the "tremendous" efforts of the International Dialogue Center to promote dialogue in the region, considering that the crisis today is a crisis of "absence of dialogue" and that Religions are not a source of disagreement and hatred, but of human values.

The second and final day of the meeting of the members of the Dialogue Platform in Beirut concluded with the approval of the platform’s work strategy in the next phase, which will focus on combating hate speech. After discussions in intensive workshops, it was agreed to implement five projects aimed at strengthening the role of religious leaders and institutions with the support of the Center for Global Dialogue. His Eminence, Allama Ali Al-Amin, spoke in a televised interview with Al-Arabiya channel about the meeting he had with members of the “Kaysid” platform, the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue between Followers of Religions and Cultures: “I was very pleased because I saw a group of solidarity united by the love of God, and the King Abdul Aziz Center was God is the race for the formula that brings together people of religions, dialogue, cultures and religious leaders, and calls for dialogue to bring together cultures, sects and sects.

He added, "This model has become what is called for globally, and many countries and forums have adopted this approach that was built by the King Abdullah Center in Vienna."

Al-Amin said that this model can expand and influence because it spreads the culture of dialogue, communication, love and convergence.

This model was brought together by love for God and for humanity. High hopes can be placed on it to spread the discourse of love to confront the discourse of hate and its culture.
