The Supreme Court called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate seeing the crescent of the month of Shawwal this evening (Thursday) the twenty-ninth of the month of Ramadan for this year 1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 4/20/2023 AD.
This came in an announcement by the court, in which it stated: “In view of what was included in the Supreme Court’s decision No. (168 / AH) and the date of 8/29/1444 AH, that Thursday 9/1/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to the 23rd / 3/ 2023 AD, which is the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1444 AH; The Supreme Court wishes all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate seeing the crescent of the month of Shawwal on the evening of Thursday 9/29/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 4/20/2023 AD.
The Supreme Court requests those who see it with the naked eye, or through binoculars; Notify the nearest court to him, record his testimony there, or contact the nearest center; to help him get to the nearest courthouse.
The Supreme Court hopes that whoever has the ability to show interest in this matter, join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, and calculate the reward for participation; Because it is of cooperation in righteousness and piety, and benefit to all Muslims.
