David Mohamed Death : 51-year-old David Mohamed and 41-year-old Larry P. Cameron have been identified as the victims shot and killed on Cameron Drive in Alburgh late Saturday night.
According to Vermont Police, another victim identified as 27-year-old Devin Cameron was located suffering from life-threatening injuries, he was taken to the hospital in a severe condition. No suspect is being sought as police say the parties in the incident have been identified.
Investigators say all three men are residents of Alburgh.
The incident happened at about 10:00 p.m., officials responded to shots fired reports at a residence. Joseph Deyo, a volunteer firefighter, lives close to the scene and responded immediately. Arriving at the home he located Mohamed and Cameron dead from apparent gunshot injuries.
“We had the stage and we couldn’t roll up there until law enforcement got there, I did my job, I checked everyone for pulses, I found the patient,” Deyo said. ‘two of the men are my wife’s relatives, “Quite often he’d go out and shoot guns at night, so we didn’t think anything different of it.”
Preliminary investigations show that two of the men had been involved in an altercation for over a week. The arguments escalated to shootings, Cpt. Dunlap said.
Devin Cameron was transported to the UVM Medical Center in critical, but stable condition. The remains of the other deceased victims were transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Burlington, for autopsy Monday.
