Colin Young Death – Cause of Death – Colin Young died peacefully at home on Saturday 27th November, 2021 surrounded by his family. He passed away at the age of 94. Colin Young was the founding director of NFTS (National Film and Television School). The National Film and Television School is a film, television and games school established in 1971 and based at Beaconsfield Studios in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England. It is featured in the 2021 ranking by The Hollywood Reporter of the top 15 International film schools.
Colin became the School’s first director in 1971 after the British government made the decision to establish a national film school to revitalise the British film industry, reports stated. His effort to make the school a success earned him numerous awards including the BAFTA fellowship award. Circumstances surrounding the passing of Colin was not revealed to the public during the time of this publication.
National Film and Television School said in a tweet; “The @NFTSFilmTV is saddened to announce the death of our founding director Colin Young who has passed away at 94. The NFTS & the filmmaking world has lost a true visionary who’ll be greatly missed.”
