Fresno shooting – Police in Fresno is seeking a suspect in connection to a drive-by shooting in the early hours of Tuesday.

The incident happened about past midnight on Diana Street north of Belmont Avenue. Preliminary investigations revealed that the unidentified victim was walking down the street when a vehicle drove by and a passenger inside opened fire, striking the victim. Responding officers transported the person to the hospital. The victim’s condition is not known as of Tuesday afternoon.

Over twenty rounds were heard fired at the scene. Multiple shell casings were found at the scene by responding investigators. Fresno police say the suspect fled the scene before officials arrived. No suspect descriptions were immediately given. Detectives are working to understand the motive.
