Today (Sunday), the Monitoring Center for Rights and Development in Al-Bayda Governorate revealed that 400 violations against civilians occurred in the governorate during the year 2022, stressing that the Houthi militia committed 83% of these violations, and the rest is distributed among a number of other terrorist organizations.
The center stated that it had monitored the death of 52 civilians, including 12 children and 4 women, and the injury of 41 others, including 14 children and 4 women, noting that it had documented 26 civilian casualties as a result of the explosion of mines and explosive devices planted by the Houthis, and 182 cases of arbitrary arrest.
The center indicated that private property was subjected to 92 attacks, including 20 home invasions and tampering with the contents, and 22 cases of confiscation of private property, including the confiscation of a domestic gas station, and 49 destruction of homes and private facilities.
He indicated that he had documented 13 violations of public property (mosques and schools) and 26 assaults, ill-treatment and prevention of movement, calling on all parties to the conflict to abide by human rights principles, and to stop all forms of violations of civilians' rights to life, physical and psychological integrity, and non-molestation of civilian objects.
