Bart Suggs Cause of Death, LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. – Bart Suggs, 54-year-old Trinity man has died from his injuries following a tragic three-vehicle crash that took place on Sunday night, November 28, on Lawrence County 217, about eight miles south of Hillsboro at about some minutes after 7 pm. According to authorities.
The accident happened around some minutes past 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2021, about eight miles south of Hillsboro on Lawrence County 217. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said. Bart was driving a 2007, Ford Econoline Van when he tried to avoid hitting a 2007 Ford F-350 flatbed truck driven by Adam Kelly, 35, of Moulton, who was attempting to miss a 1994 GMC Sonoma, driven by Marvin Nelms, 35, of Trinity. He was unable to avoid the crash and end up hitting the Sonoma that was stationary in the roadway with no taillights on due to a mechanical failure.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says he was transported to Lawrence Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. Together in Van with Bart was Terri Suggs, he was injured in the crash and taken to Decatur General Hospital.
No further information is available as investigation about the accident is still ongoing. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division says.
