Officials are investigating after a boy, 10, was shot to death Friday afternoon near Lehigh Valley in southeast Pennsylvania, official is seeking a shooter, who is said to be well-known to the police in connection to the devastating incident, according to Berks County District Attorney John Adams.
Officials responded at about 1:30 p.m. to a residence in Hereford. Arriving officials located the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries at the scene. Medical teams transported him to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries moments later, Adams added.
Investigators say the shooting is believed to be a targeted incident and probing remains active. The child’s identity has not been released due to his age.
