Christopher McKitrick Death – Cause of Death – On the 24th of November 2021, Christopher McKitrick, 53, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was killed in a suspicious fire near Kearney. McKitrick died of severe burn injuries. The police said they received a report about a grass fire east of Kearney around 3 a.m. on the 23rd of November 2021. McKitrick was transported from Crossroads Shelter to CHI Good Samaritan Hospital.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office said McKitrick was later taken to a Lincoln hospital where he died early the next morning. The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the man’s last known whereabouts, the cause of the fire and his subsequent burns. After an autopsy completion, authorities said the circumstances remain suspicious and foul play has not been ruled out.
