Lionel Womack Death – Cause of Death – Lionel Womack former Kansas City, Kansas, police detective, was identified as the victim of a shooting that happened on Monday, 30th of November 2021 during a struggle with KCKPD officers. According to the police, they were alerted that a man was acting strangely in the street around 2:30 p.m. near North 57th Street and Tauromee Avenue.

Police said a 911 caller told them that the man later identified as Womack was standing in the street, looking and pointing at the sky. The caller said Womack tried to jump in front of the vehicle he was driving. When authorities got to the scene, they got into a struggle with Womack over an officer’s weapon when it went off. Womack was shot and was confirmed dead at a local hospital. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) said two officers were also treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

KCKPD said in a report that the officers were both wearing body cams and the entire incident was captured on them and dash cameras. The two officers involved in the shooting are on administrative leave. Investigations are ongoing.
