Political and popular forces in Egypt welcomed the setting of May 3 as the date for the return of the national dialogue sessions, from which three “political, economic and social” committees emerged, including 19 sub-committees, to discuss 103 issues during the past months.

The general coordinator of the national dialogue, head of the Egyptian Information Service, Diaa Rashwan, stated that the national dialogue seeks to establish the principles of democracy in the new republic, and pointed out that until this date, we will continue to receive proposals and receive new names that want to join the dialogue.

Meanwhile, the head of the Generation Party, Naji Al-Shihabi, noted to Okaz the importance of starting a national dialogue to discuss societal issues of concern to the Egyptian citizen, pointing out that the forces of evil are still seeking to thwart the dialogue with false reports that have no basis in reality. He considered the dialogue a golden opportunity to bring together the parties representing the national state, including opposition parties of various affiliations, which was also confirmed by the head of the Nasserist party, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Ela, to “Okaz”, calling for the need to move forward in ending the dialogue, and to come up with recommendations of interest to the citizen, again. He rejected the participation of the “Brotherhood” and all those whose hands are stained with the blood of Egyptians.

The Tagammu’ Party, headed by Representative Sayed Abdel-Ala, issued a statement praising the National Dialogue Board of Trustees’ decision to set May 3 for its return, reaffirming the Tagammu’ Party’s position in support of the National Dialogue, and its keenness for its success. He called on the participants to overcome any obstacles to come up with the best results and recommendations that fulfill the aspirations and hopes of the Egyptians, pointing out that there is a popular welcome for the start of the work of the national dialogue, since the issues that will be discussed are of interest to the masses of the Egyptian people, whether issues of political, economic or social reform.
