Harris County Sheriff’s is investigating after a 20-year-old man was struck multiple times by gunfire during a possible breaking in a residence in the Spring area Wednesday night.
Deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 responded at about 9:45 p.m. to a home in the 2000 block of Naplechase Crest Drive. Preliminary investigations show the victim alongside his mother and 14-year-old brother were inside the residence when the suspected persons broke in through the front door.
According to HCSO investigator B. O’Neal, the victim was in possession of a pistol when the suspects came. It is not known at this time if he fired his weapon. His mother and his younger brother fled to a nearby house for assistance after the unidentified suspects fled in a white or silver sedan. Responding officers transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was listed in a stable.
Officials did not say If the suspects took anything from the home.
