Matthew Alexander Gelpin Death – Cause Of Death: 44-year-old Matthew Alexander Gelpin of Adamsville who was shot and killed outside a Birmingham business has been named by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday 22nd November 2021.
The police were called upon to the shooting that took place on 4300 block of Richard Arrington, Jr. Blvd. at about 3:30 p.m, on their arrival they discovered Gelpin was involved in an argument with another man which led to shots being fired. Police found Matthew on the sidewalk between the business and RAJ Boulevard with a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead on the scene at about 3:58 p.m by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service.
One person has been taken into custody for questioning, more details about the shooting have not been released at the time of this report.
