The honoring of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to the Shura Council every year embodies his interest in the Shura work.

Michael Zervos, Jr. Cause of Death, Salt Lake City, UT: Michael Zervos, 58-year-old, of Salt Lake City in Utah, a teacher at Granite Technical Institute, passed away on  Wednesday, November 24, 2021, due to Covid related illnesses. Mike is survived by his: sons Nektarios and George Zervos, sisters Chryssi, Georgia, Stella, Presvytera, and Mary, brother Stelio Zervos, nephews and cousins.

He is born Michael Zervos, Jr. on February 26, 1963, to Michael Zervos Sr. and Stephania Adondakis Zervos. He grew up in West Jordan, Utah. As a kid, he had many interests including football and baseball. In 1981, he graduated from Bingham High School and then attended the University of Utah, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science in 1986. After obtaining his degree, he was employed by Equifax, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked as a system analyst. He completed his MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia and joined Choicepoint in 1997.

He met the love of his life Demetra Paraschos and they were married in 1999. They had 2 sons, Nektarios and George and in 2009 his wife Demetra passed away. After his wife died, he moved back to Salt Lake together with his sons and he later took a teaching work at Granite Technical Institute in 2011. His students were the first from Utah to qualify for the National Programmer’s Championship. He was loved by his students and he loved teaching them about computers and life.

The funeral took place at Sts. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Salt Lake City, Utah on November 30 followed immediately with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City.
