Marcus Hemmingway Death : Ridgeland police say a 15-year-old Olde Towne Middle School student was shot and killed inside a resident in Ridgeland late Friday morning.
Marcus Hemmingway was located suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso and leg by officers who responded on receiving 911 calls of an active shooter in the Northbrook apartment complex located on Pine Knoll Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators were on scene for several hours collecting evidence markers and interviewing witnesses. No suspect information was immediately given, as police say the incident remains under strict investigation. No motive was given.
