The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, represented by the Travel Affairs Unit for those fasting in the Grand Mosque, distributed more than 50,000 healthy meals, especially for diabetics and the elderly, male and female visitors to the Grand Mosque, since the beginning of the Ramadan season 1444 AH.

Ibrahim Al-Hujaili, Director of the Fasting Travel Affairs Unit, confirmed that the unit follows up and organizes Iftar operations inside the Grand Mosque through an electronic system that issued 2,300 permits divided into all sites designated for Iftar, with a total of 30,000 meters for all Ramadan Iftar travel in the Grand Mosque.

He said, “The unit has harnessed its human and technical energies to organize Ramadan Iftar travel according to a carefully prepared plan of action, starting from electronic registration and delivery of electronic permits to providers of fasting breakfast services, to field supervision of the implementation of requirements and instructions, and provision of services for purification, sterilization, perfumery, and cleanliness of sites so that visitors can enjoy a spiritual and faith-based atmosphere that prevails.” Reverence and reassurance during breakfast times in the holy month.
