The Israeli army imposed a comprehensive closure on the Palestinian territories, with the approaching celebration of the Jewish Passover, and the closure begins “as of the evening of Wednesday, April 5, provided that the crossings are opened and the closure is lifted on Saturday, April 8, at midnight.” The Israeli army said in a statement, today (Friday): Based on the assessment of the security situation and the directives of the political echelon, a comprehensive closure will be imposed on the West Bank area, and the crossings with the Gaza Strip will be closed during the Jewish holiday of Passover.

He pointed out that the lifting of the closure will be subject to an assessment of the situation and according to the opening times in the normal periods. The statement announced that on Friday, April 7, the crossings would be opened to the movement of Palestinians from the West Bank, according to the civil steps that were approved on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.

He stated that a comprehensive closure will be imposed on the West Bank region, and the crossings in the Gaza Strip will be closed starting from the evening of Tuesday, April 11, and the crossings will be opened and the closure will be lifted on the evening of Wednesday, April 12, subject to an assessment of the situation and according to the normal opening times.

The Israeli army confirmed that during the closure period, passage will be allowed in humanitarian, medical and exceptional cases only after the approval of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.
